Bottled Rainbows,
finally hanging in my sewing space!
In progress:
Small Pips Quilt, in need of quilting -- any thoughts on this?

Quilt alongs:
Warm/Cool Quilt Along at In Color Order

HSTs all ready to go, just need to decide on a layout

I decided to join in on the Farmer's Wife Quilt Along, too!
I figured that the Warm/Cool Quilt Along was nearly over, and Elizabeth's Kaleidoscope Quilt Along hasn't quite started yet, so I needed another one!
It's nice to be able to just make a block or two at a time, and use up scraps in the process.  I'm trying to use mostly Sugar Pop scraps left over from my Supernova Quilt.

  1. Cute, I love your Farmer's Wife blocks, they're so cheerful and bright! And I love your rainbow quilt up on the wall now, it looks great :) I think your Pips quilt would look great with either some diagonal straight lines, or some loopy FMQ, good luck deciding on that!

  3. It all looks so wonderful! I look forward to seeing how you quilt the pips quilt. I agree with Elizabeth, or you may want to do a stipple or I think random straight lines would also work. A part of me would want to emphasize the steps in the greys either with straight lines that echo the steps or with some kind of quilting only in them, but that is far more work.

  4. Wow all great projects! I say for your Small Pips quilt you should use large/med. circles to quilt it. Just an idea.

Sorry I can't help you with ideas on quilting, I am really bad at trying to figure out what to do on mine.

I am joining in as well, and am itching to get sewing these seeing everyones awesome blocks popping up everywhere! your cool/warm HSTs are great, now the fun part, how to lay them out! How big did you end up cutting the border on your Sherbert Pips? It looks just perfect whatever you decided on!! I would say FMQ, but thats because I'm partial :-)

  15. I love that you get to look at you BR every time you're sitting at the sewing machine. How fun! Your pips quilt is so cute. I'm not sure how to quilt that one...I'd be tempted to go with straight lines.

  17. Those little Stuffed Animal sleeping bags are so darned cute, my daughters would LOVE a couple of those. : ) The Pips quilt is really cute too - I think it would be awesome in that straight-line maze-looking FMQ, although I'm not sure I could tackle that one myself! Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
